Base salary and Grade Pay - Selected candidate will be paid remuneration based on pay band PB-3 and Grade pay of INR Rs.8000/7000/6000/-..in accordance with the rule of National Institute of Technology. 

Increment and Promotion Criteria : Selected candidates who are placed in PB3 with AGP of Rs.6000 shall move after one year to Assistant Professor (on contract) with AGP of Rs.7000 and the candidates in PB3 with AGP of Rs.7000 (on contract)shall move to Assistant Professor with AGP of Rs. 8000 after two years, subject to fulfillment of eligibility,qualifications, experience and requirements for the posts as governed by the guidelines issued by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India
